Kinder (Age 5)

Kinder Dance Classes are specifically designed to fit the needs of your 5 year old! We know that this age group needs high energy, age-appropriate dance education and choreography to keep them engaged and learning every time they step into class. Our fun, loving, and dynamic Kinder Classes will instill a love of dance and performing for your budding dancer!

2017 / 2018 Session

Our 2017 - 2018 Session is now open for registration! Our session runs through May 2018. Students will spend the school year developing dance technique, skills and choreography. Unique to BCA, dancers have an opportunity to perform multiple times during the year at our fall and spring recitals! This allows students to work towards goals as individuals and a class, while also creating an environment for a variety of progressive instruction, building on their dance education all year long! The Recital Experience!

BCA is known for providing the most entertaining and exciting recital experience for dancers and families in southeastern Wisconsin! We cannot wait to share this special day with your dancer. Professional theatrical props, backdrops, lighting, a beautiful venue, and amazing recital costumes provide the perfect setting to celebrate your dancer's hard work and to showcase their talent on the big stage. BCA hosts three recitals each year - our November Recital at the Hamilton Fine Arts Center in Sussex, our May Recital at the Hamilton Fine Arts Center in Sussex! Kinder Class Information

Session Dates

Our 2017-2018 Session runs September 2017 - May 2018. Unique to BCA, Academy Dance students perform in two recitals each year to build choreography skills and keep our students engaged and learning all year long! Recitals are in December and again in the spring.

Tuition Fees

Spring and Summer tuition fees are due in full at the time of registration. For our 2017-2018 Classes, class tuition Tuition is listed below along with class registration. A down payment of one month's tuition is due at the time of registration which covers your May 2018 tuition. Regular tuition is due on the 1st of the month, Sept. 1 - April 1. Alternatively, you may choose to pay in full for the year for your tuition at the time of registration to save $30 off of the total. Please comment "Monthly" or "Pay in Full" to note your tuition payment option when registering. Costume fees are $65 per costume due Sept. 1 and Jan. 1 to cover costumes for the December recital and the spring recital. Combo classes with two styles of dance (Jazz & Hip Hop, Tap & Lyrical) will receive two costumes per recital totaling $130 on Sept. 1 and Jan. 1. Single style classes will owe $65 on Sept. 1 and Jan. 1.

Jazz & Hip Hop

Jazz & Hip Hop is a fun, exciting and high energy class! Students will work on developing flexibility, coordination, balance, dance technique, more intricate dance skills and tricks, and choreography. During class students will be encouraged to show off their charisma by adding their own special personality to each routine. This class is a combination for those who want a both a technical dance class and an upbeat environment! Class time will be split up into 30 minutes of each style. Students will prepare one jazz routine and one hip hop routine for each recital, a total of four routine performances throughout the year! Attire: Comfortable, active clothing, tan jazz shoes for jazz, and sneakers from home for hip hop.

Tap & Lyrical

Tap & Lyrical class curriculum focuses on age appropriate technique, strength training, timing and musicality. Students will gain proper and age appropriate training by focusing on technique, body alignment and strength and conditioning. The ballet barre will be used as a source to help with their technical needs and development. This is a class that is perfect for the dancer looking forward to technical training and character development. Our lyrical and broadway style tap is taught in a way that encourages proper development and confidence in each child. Class time will be split up into 30 minutes of each style. Students will prepare one lyrical routine and one tap routine for each recital, a total of four routine performances throughout the year! Attire: Students will be required to wear a black leotard, black dance pants, jazz shoes, and their hair pulled up away from their face for class. For tap, they will need tan tap shoes.

Russian Ballet Pre-Ballet

Our Pre-Ballet course is designed for students ages 5-6 as an introduction to our classical ballet training using the Vaganova Method of Russian Ballet technique. Students will learn foundational skills at the barre and across the floor, studying whole body placement, footwork and vocabulary. Close attention is paid to classical ballet principles to begin our students' ballet journey at this prime age!
